After watching What's Right with America we discussed how terrible losing our rights and freedoms would be. If you were to wake up tomorrow and had to pick only 3 amendments to save, which ones would you choose? Explain your answers.

i would want freedom,the bill of rights and to vote by that i mean letting are voice be heard
if i had to pick three amedents to save it would be 1 beause i want freedom and be free to speak. amedment19 because i want to be able to vote when i get older and i am not sure for the 3 one. so that is what i what i would choose

i would pick the amendmentthat is freedom of expression,speech,religion,press,
and assembly.i would also pick womens' voting rights because voting rights sorta stand for their rights of being free to make their own desisions.to not become property to another. :P
for my third choice,i would either pick Abolition of Slavery,or the right to have a lawyer and a fair trial with a jury.innocent until proven guilty.we need both of them so much,i cant decide!!!

i would have to pick the 1st,10th,and the 12th amendment.
But all of the amendments are great!
I don't like the "hiissfkdflksdlkflsdf" that you put up. You might want to fix that. Oh, and if I had to pick three amendmendments, they would be the 1st, 4th& 5th amendmendments.

if i had to pick 3 amendments to save i would pick...,
1st:becuase of,freedom of speech,and religon.
i also agree with swimgal is monica on the 19th becuase not just men should be able to vote,(women should to!!!=-]

i would save the 1st 13th and 19th amedments to that we all have a choice to be heard and so women will have some rights and so there would be no slavery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if i had to choose 3 i would have to have amendment 1 because it gives you 4 rights in 1 amendment 13 because i never want to be a slave and 19 because i want to vote
if you forgot your amendments sheet then look at this...
1. Freedom of Religion, Assembly, Petition, Press, Opinion, and Speech
2. The freedom to bear arms
3. No military in your home except in war time.
4. No unreasonable searches
5. The right to remain silent and not incriminate yourself
6. The right to a speedy and public trial
7. The right to a jury trial in civil matters of $20 and over.
8. The right to fair fines and bail. No cruel and unusual punishment
9. Individual Rights. Rights that are not in the constitution are still rights given to citizens.
10. State Rights. Any right not given in the constitution is given to the states to legislate.
11. You cannot sue another state except with permission by that state’s judicial system.
12. The electoral college must have two separate elections for president and vice president
13. Emancipation. All slaves are free.
14. Foreign born citizens can vote
15. All men get the right to vote - including ex-slaves
16. The Federal Income Tax is established
17. The people elect their own US senators
18. Alcohol is prohibited
19. Women get the right to vote
20. January 20th is the day that a new president takes office
21. It is no longer illegal to drink Alcohol. The 18th amendment is struck down.
22. A president can only have 2 terms in office.
23. Washington DC can vote for the president
24. You may not charge people money so that they can register to vote.
25. Lays down the rules for who becomes president if the president dies/resigns etc.
26. You can vote at the age of 18.
27. Congressmen cannot vote to give themselves a raise in the same term.

I love are country's freedoms. I would pick amendment 1,3,and 23 because washington D.C. because there part of our country. I would pick 1 because everyone should be able to say what you want. 3 because everyone should have privacy

If I had to pick three amendments to keep I keep the 1st amendment because I want to say what I want to say I want ot write what I want to write and I want to have the religon that I have, I would also like the 19th amendment because just because women are women doesnt mean men should have more rights than we do, and the 13th amendment because just because someone had darker skin than someone else doesnt mean they have to go through pain.

If I were wake up tomorrow morning and have to pick 3 amendments, they would be the 3rd amendment because I wouldn't want to be forced to take care of strangers in my house. The second amendment would be the 4th because I don't want anyone searching my house and looking through my stuff. The last amendment would be the 15th because I believe that everyone should have the right to vote no matter what race they are.
1 so we have the right to say what we want and write what you want and what religion you want to be
2 so we can have protection

1st: this is an amendment that has 5 basic rights that all people should have.

If I could only pick 3 amendments to save to our constitution, it wold be...
1st- we need to make our own decisions and choices. we cant be forced to do something everyone is doing or what they want us to do.
9th- because everyone wants individual freedoms.
AND.....
13th- no one should be owned or beaten because of there color. Plus, If your not white, you should still have the same rights and public facilities as white people.

I would keep the 15,13,1 because they all let any religion or race or culture it lets them do what any ordanary person can do and i would also keep the 19th amendment too because it let women vote.

the 3 amendments that i would pick are #1,13,19 because...
1)the 1st amendment includes freedom of speech,religion,and press,without this amendment we couldn't say the words that we wanted to,we had to be 1 religion and we couldn't publish what we wanted to....
13)The 13th amendment is about slavery and equality...
without this amendment African American people would not have the same rights as other people and there would not be equality in America.....
19)The 19th amendment is about voting privileges.....
without this amendment women would be outlawed the privilege of voting and women would not be able to have the same rights as men.
that is why i picked these amendments!!!!

I want to say that alot off people are forgetting about the constitution and how it says freedom of religion because alot of people have problems with muslims being in America. I dont like that at all!
I would choose amendment 1 because if freedom of religion, amendment 9 because of Individual rights, and amendment amendment 18 because i dont like that we have liqour there has been alot of acidents because of drunk driving.
but, i would really like amendment 13 where al the slaves are free! :)

i found 10 amedments in my planner and also the preamble. if i had to save 3 admendments i think they would be-1 freedom of religion and speach-19 the right to women to vote-and 26 so you can get the right to vote at 18.

If i had three amendments to choose i would choose these three:
1. The 1st because i need the right for freedom and the right to speak.
2. The 17th amendment because African Americans should have the right to vote.
3. The 19th amendment because women have same equal as men.
